2013 NIHR ACF Recruitment timetable

National NIHR ACF recruitment
Round 1 of recruitment for NIHR ACF 2013 posts opened one Monday 15th October 2012 with a national advert in BMJ and the available posts being published on this website. The closing date for applications was Monday 12th November 2012.

Shortlisting and interviews took place from 13th November 2012 to the 11th January 2013.

Applicants will receive offers for NIHR ACF posts from 14th January 2013. Candidates have 5 days to accept an offer. For further details please click here

Round 2 of recruitment for NIHR ACF posts 2013 is now open. A list of posts available, which were not filled in Round 1 above, is available to view/download here. Please note this list is subject to change during the recruitment period.

Potential applicants are advised to contact individual Deaneries to check for availability, when posts will be advertised and at what entry level they will be offered. Contact details are available.

All 2013 NIHR ACF posts are required to be filled with someone active in post by 31st March 2014 at the very latest.

National NIHR ACF recruitment in General Practice (ST1)
Recruitment to NIHR ACF posts in General Practice is managed by a national recruitment process. Please see the GP National Recruitment Office website for more details.

Generally recruitment to NIHR ACFs is managed by postgraduate medical deaneries. You should contact the relevant deanery for further information on how to apply. Contact details for all deaneries hosting NIHR ACFs are listed here.

You should also consult deanery websites for full clinical and academic person specifications. Clinical person specifications for all specialties can also be viewed on the Medical Specialty Training website (2013 now updated). Please note that to be short-listed for a post you must be able to provide sufficient evidence that you meet all attributes listed as essential criteria.

Before applying you are recommended to read the following information and guidance as well as any relevant information and guidance provided by individual deaneries.
