The Programme
The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for England, in collaboration with the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), have established an integrated clinical academic training programme for nurses, midwives and allied health professionals.
Competitions for the Masters, PhD, Clinical Lectureship and Senior Clinical Lectureship awards have been held since 2009.

NEW: Round 3 of the Clinical Doctoral Research Fellowship has now launched
The NIHR TCC is pleased to announce that Round 3 of the Clinical Doctoral Research Fellowship scheme has now launched. Applications for a Round 3 C-DRF award must be submitted by 16th August 2012.

We are now pleased to announce a further Invitation to Tender for funding for masters degree places on clinical research courses. Funding is available for approximately 100 Masters Studentships per annum for the next three years.
